The City Prolific: Weekend Events July 13 - 14

Last weekend was one of beaches, pools, bicycles, bikinis, and barbecues. Biked up the coast from Manhattan Beach to Venice, swam in the ocean, swam in a rooftop pool, and barbecued in our little backyard.  This weekend will likely be a little more urban (and clothed).

Saturdays off the 405 presents Pickwick


The Getty Museum presents free outdoor concerts all summer long. This week's performer is Pickwick with DJ Howie Pyro.

DUDE! The Psychedelic Furs are playing for FREE in Pershing Square tonight. Need we give you another reason why we love LA? The concert lawn is open to the public at 7:30pm and concerts begin at 8:00pm. There is a beer & wine garden to make up for the fact that you can't bring your own booze. Thanks, Parks and Rec!

Grand Performances Presents Songfest: Celebrating Leonard Bernstein


If you're more into musical theatre, than 80's rock, head up the hill to Grand Performances at Cal Plaza for a sing along of selections from West Side Story, On the Town, and Candide. Special guest Jamie Bernstein provides narration throughout this celebration of her father’s rich musical legacy.
